Project overview

Timberline Independence

"Timberline Independence" serves a fully off-grid, 20,000-square-foot mountain residence. The operating requirement was clear: maintain dependable whole-home power without a utility connection while supporting the electrical demands of a large luxury property through changing weather and seasonal solar conditions.

The completed system coordinates a 30 kW ground-mounted solar array, 307.2 kWh of battery storage, standby generation, and control of 48 electrical loads. Battery equipment is located in a dedicated power building uphill from the residence, with the generator on an adjacent pad and the solar field positioned farther up the slope. The result is an integrated residential microgrid designed around runtime, resilience, site access, and maintainability.
